H&M Coats Under £35

H&M currently has a lot of great items in stock, but they're coats and jackets are probably the highlight. I'm planning on buying one for when it gets a little colder, but I have yet to decide on one! So, I've created a list of my top 5 coats from H&M under £35 and I'm asking you guys for help in deciding. Also, just to share how awesome these coats are with you all.

Let me know in the comments below which jacket is your favorite!

Monk Shoes

Lately I've noticed that Topshop has been selling a type of shoes called Monk shoes. I'm not sure if they've got the same name everywhere, but these Monk shoes from Topshop (apart from having an awesome name) are really cute, semi-formal flat shoes that generally have a buckle on the front and no laces. They're interestingly shaped and structured, and I think that they add a level of uniqueness to any outfit.

I, personally, am completely in love with two specific pairs - the Matie Two Tone Monk Shoe for £34 and the Kava Brogue Monk Shoes for £55 - so I've made a few sets of some different kinds of outfits I would pair them with. And hopefully soon, I'll be able to post some reviews on them! Cross your fingers for me.

Since the Kava Brogue Monk Shoes are entirely black, in my opinion they look best with dresses or skirts, or in general an outfit that is slightly more formal. To make them a little more casual, pair it with some boyfriend jeans and a button down.

For the Matie Two Tone Monk Shoes, they look best paired with jeans in a more casual outfit or a bright, summery outfit. Add in some gold accessories to accent the gold buckle, and you're good to go.

Since last years big winter shoe trend was cut out boots, I feel like these kind of shoes will be fashionable this winter. What do you guys think of Monk shoes? Let me know in the comments below!

NYC Haul!

So I just got back from New York on Friday evening, and I did a lot of shopping. I managed to find quite a few of the things I was looking for!

I found the last Topshop black crop top in the NYC store (at least when I was there) and I was so happy when it fit well! It's a little smaller than I normally get my tops, but its made with a very stretchy material and it still looks great, so I splurged on it. I've really wanted either a Topshop or Zara white coat for a while, and I managed to get this Zara jacket for only $38! It was very, very reduced, and I had a gift card from my birthday. Needless to say, I was super happy with that. I went to the American Apparel Outlet store while in Soho, and I picked up some black corduroy shorts and a pair of earrings. From H&M I found this cream satchel that I had thought sold out forever ago, so that was lucky. From Aerie I got some undies (not pictured, because, well I think you know why) and the Aerie fragrance (it has peaches in it! so good!). And finally, from some random shops, I found a pair of black and white brogues, a fake Michael Kors silver boyfriend watch, a fake rose gold cartier bracelet, and a fake tennis bracelet.

Overall, I think it was a very successful trip. I did some sight seeing, of course, but I figured you all would want to hear about this more.

H&M Haul

So, I went shopping yesterday. Kind of. I really shouldn't have, but to be fair I only went to one store, H&M.

The first thing I got was a pair of black canvas sneakers. I love the look of converse, and I'd like to try out the high top look. Since these were only $15, it's okay if I don't wear them as much as a low top pair or if they break faster. They're definitely not a long term practical pair of shoes, but they're fun and they were cheap.

Next, I got this pair of lounge/pajama style shorts. I've been looking around for some new pajamas, because I really don't have any, and these were only $5 and really cute so I figured why not.

And finally, I bought this oversize tank top with a picture of jaws on the front. It's really not practical, but its soft and comfy and funky, and it will look great paired with some leggings, or as a swimsuit cover up.

And that's it. That is everything that I bought from H&M today. Crazy as it might be, I'm probably going back to the mall tomorrow to return a pair of sunglasses. I really need to find something to do this summer.

Leather Dresses

Leather dresses are a huge trend this year. In fact, leather everything kind of is. I honestly never thought that I would be a big leather (or in my case, faux leather) person, but this trend has grown on me so much. As far as leather dresses go, I've noticed two main styles - leather shift dresses and leather trim dresses.

If you're feeling adventurous, then you can go for the leather shift dress. These dresses are best worn with simple accessories - black tights, simple jewelry, and heels or flats depending on the look you're going for.

If you're not feeling as daring, you could always opt for a more subtle take on the leather dress trend - leather trim dresses. For a dress like this, I would tone down the accessories, maybe just a ring or two, and again with some cute tights and shoes.

The Zara dress I used in this set isn't on the website (it might be sold out), but here is another similar one.

I hope you guys are enjoying this trend as much as I am!

Caro
