New Look Shoes

There are a few stores that I absolutely love and check up on fairly regularly because I have a problem. Lately, the stock at New Look has been pretty dang awesome. A week or two ago I bought an adorable maroon bobble hat that looks just like one that Topshop had in stock last year, and it was only £5!

Because I've ordered things online from them before, I get emails from them, and I got an email the other day with a mystery discount and I get a student discount on top of that, so I'm doing a little shopping! Their sale right now is awesome, but I am especially in love with the current stock of shoes. Here are my favorites for under £30.

These are my personal favorites for under £30, but there are tons of other cute shoes. I'm definitely gonna buy a few pairs, so I figured I'd give you guys an idea of how I would style them.

These maroon brogues would look absolutely amazing with a jumper and some jeans, nothing too exciting in color scheme.

For these boots, I would pair them with some black skinny jeans, a clutch, and a cool geometric print oversize shirt.

These heeled cut out boot are a little more formal, so I would pair then with a cute black dress, an interesting bag, and a cute hairstyle.

These boots are a little similar to the previous ones, but the heel height is a good deal lower so they would be good for a little more casual look. I would pair them with a skater skirt, a plain top, and a cute jacket or sweater.

For this last outfit, I love the contrast between the leather look Chelsea boots and this white skirt from zara. Add in a cute black and white casual blouse, and a satchel and you're good to go!

Let me know if you guys get any shoes from New Look! Take advantage of these great deals.

Caro

Style Steal: Topshop Physics Boots Update!

So a little while ago I posted some similars to these gorgeous, sold out topshop boots (the original post can be found here), and I just found another pair! They're from New Look, and the my look almost identical but they are so much cheaper!

I actually own the Topshop boots, and I've seen the New Look ones in person so I can honestly tell you that they are incredibly similar. The quality of the New Look ones seems a little bit less than the Topshop pair, but since they're about a sixth of the cost, you get what you pay for. The New Look boots are a little more geometric while the Topshop ones are smooth, and the heel of the New Look ones have tiny stripes on them. Overall though, they are extremely similar. So if you're more concerned with the quality and having the boots look exactly the same, I would recommend the Tony Bianco pair from the previous post, but if you want the height of the heel, definitely buy these.

Hope you enjoy!

Caro

Style Steal: Topshop Physics Premium Strap Boots

There seems to be a pattern lately where all of my blog posts are about shoes. So as not to dissapoint the trend, here's another one!

Topshop used to sell these gorgeous black, heeled, strappy boots that were absolutely gorgeous, but have since sold out. If you weren't lucky enough to get your hands on a pair because they were too expensive or just because you couldn't get them in time, I found some cute similar boots that are still for sale.

Topshop Physics Premium Strap Boots - SOLD OUT

Neither of these boots have heels quite as tall as the original, but they're very cute and have a similar look with all the straps.

Let me know what you guys think!

Clothing Review: Blonde & Blonde Mason Cutout Boots

A few weeks ago I purchased these boots from bankfashion.co.uk that look just like a sold out pair of boots from Topshop (you can read my post about it here).

I ordered them in my normal size, and for the most part they fit great. A little loose around the ankle, but given the cut of these boots and where they hit my ankle its better that they are a little loose. They definitely won't fall off, but they will move around a little bit as I walk. The heel is a good size too - I won't be walking around in them if I know I'm going to be on my feet all day, but I'll definitely wear them to my Uni classes because I live really close.

The only negative aspect that I found was that they were a little tight around the front of my feet (I really don't know how to describe which part of the foot it is, but that spot that's right before your toes). TO be fair, I have wide feet. My normal size usual fits fine, but these shoes seem to run a little narrow. Nothing too uncomfortable though so it should be fine. Once I've broken them in I think they'll fit a little better.

Overall, these are great shoes, especially for their price. They're a cute statement shoe, and I can't wait to rock them this fall.

What do you guys think about this white soled boots trend? Do you love it or hate it? Tell me in the comments!

Caro

Instead of an August Wishlist...

So this summer I have been buying clothes online like crazy. I usually don't get this many clothes in such a short span of time, but I had a lot of time to kill and I basically spent my days on ebay or looking at sales in Topshop or Zara. (Seriously, you should have seen the pile of packages waiting for me when I got back to Scotland!)

So, in order to not buy as many clothes, I'm making a few changes, one of them being not making a wishlist for this month. When I make lists, I like to cross off as many things as I can, so if I make a wishlist it will just motivate me to shop even more! What I'll be doing instead is allowing myself to buy two or three items of clothing for the entire month. Now, this doesn't include necessary pieces of clothing, like underwear or socks, but anything that I do not need will go toward this total.

But, its only August 8th and I already know what I want to buy! I already bought the Blonde and Blonde Mason Cutout Boots (in yesterdays post), and hopefully today I will be buying a pair of Topshop Physics Boots (its off of eEbay though so anything can happen). For my third and final item this month, there is this gorgeous dress from Urban Outfitters that I am absolutely in love with - the only problem is that it is part of their Urban Renewal collection, which means that each item is unique and therefore the image on the website is not 100% accurate. But, since today is Thursday and all of the shops in City Centre stay open late tonight, my plan is to study and unpack some more during the day and hopefully find this dress and try it on tonight!

And hopefully soon I will find a job so that I can have money coming in (as well as going out).

Style Steal: Black Cut Out Boots with White Soles

So w little while ago Topshop stocked this gorgeous pair of boots called the Aftershocks. They were black, lace up cut out boots with a white sole, and they were a little pricey and sold out incredibly fast. Unfortunately, Topshop said they were not going to restock them, but then a few months later an Australian store called Tony Bianco (that has gorgeous shoes by the way) started selling a pair that looked exactly the same! But at $200 for a pair, I was not about to buy them. But, as I was trolling the internet the other day, as I do every day, I came across these boots from Bank for a much more reasonable price!

Topshop Aftershock Cutout Lace-up Boots - $170 Sold Out

At more than $100 cheaper, these boots are definitely a great deal.

Fall/Winter Essentials: Jackets and Boots

I know it's still technically the beginning of July, but I can't help myself - I love autumn and winter clothes! All of the jumpers, and the jackets and coats, and the generally fuzzy state of things makes me so so happy. So of course, as I do with anything that makes me happy, I've made a list - this time, of a few essentials that I will be saving up for and buying to keep me warm in the Scottish winter.

A classic black coat is always a must - you can throw it on over pretty much anything, be it dressy or casual. As long as you get a nice one, and a thick one, you can wear it all winter long, most likely even for several years!

Another essential is a cute (faux) leather jacket. I personally really like this style with quilted shoulders and arms and a detachable fur collar that's modeled after a jacket made by Burberry. But, as long as you pick a fairly simple one, a jacket like this is a staple that can be worn everywhere.

This winter, I'm loving the look of a giant, preferably fuzzy, hooded parka style jacket in an earthy tan color. It looks so cute paired with some black jeans, and is so easy to throw on over your clothes in the winter. Because I live in Scotland, the giant hood is a necessity - it rains a lot, and its so windy that umbrellas never work.

And of course, everyone needs a good pair of boots. Or two. Or twenty. These are some of my favorites, some of which I own, and others that I hope to own soon. Casual boots are of course a must, but nicer boots are actually really useful as well. It's much easier and comfier to go out in winter in a pair of cute boots than a pair of strappy heels.

I can not wait for the chillier weather! Comment below if you want me to make another post like this, maybe with some jeans/trousers and jumpers?

Style Steal: Black and White Cut Out Shoes

A few months back, Topshop had a pair of shoes called the Katz. They were these gorgeous cut out flats, and I haven't been able to find anything else quite like them. They came in black, navy, and black and white. The black and navy were very similar, and now Topshop has the Katz2 in their store for $50 cheaper than the original. But they didn't bring back the black and white pair.

Which is why I was so excited to log onto tumblr today and see that a style blog I follow on there had found a pair of shoes from Go Jane that look exactly like the black and white Topshop Katz! And, they're only $26! So of course I ordered myself a pair, because even though I'm trying to save money, I'm not passing up on a deal this amazing.
