Air

Some days, life gets tough. The stress and the pressure of everything just starts weighing on you, and you feel like you can't take it. What you need to do then, is take a break. Whenever I feel particularly stressed, or down about something, I remember this quote. It's one of my favorites, and I even had it as the background on my computer for a while.

It's a really simple, and yet really powerful idea. We can get lost in the hustle and bustle of every day life, and I think sometimes its good to take a break and remember who you are, but more importantly who you want to be.

I'm hoping you all have a wonderful Monday.

Love,

Caro

Dance Party Time

Now, some of you might find what I'm about to say a little weird, but I'm asking you to just listen for a minute, and then hopefully try it yourself.

I am a fan of lists. I make to do lists, lists of things to buy, I could make a list for any situation in life, ever. One thing that I always include on my day-to-day to do lists, is to have a mini dance party. And I really do it most days. There's just something about putting on a fun song, and dancing stupidly and enthusiastically around your room. It's stress relieving, and just instantly improves your mood. Plus, its a little bit of exercise, which is never a bad thing.

So I encourage you all to balter around for a bit today. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Love,

Caro

Unpleasant People

Sometimes, people can be assholes. I myself had an unpleasant experience earlier in the week with someone making uncalled for comments on something that is really none of their business. The thing is, no matter how stupid these other people can be, you have to do your best not to let them get to you. There are always going to be people who, whether they try to or not, make you feel worse about yourself. What you have to remember is that no one can tell you who you are. If you ignore the comments, and focus on making yourself a better person, you'll be happier in the long run,

As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." So don't let the bastards get you down!

Caro

Taking Chances

This Monday, and in fact this whole week, I encourage you all to try something totally new. Be it a new kind of food, or wearing that outfit you never thought you could rock (but you totally can), or doing something absolutely crazy like sky diving! Our lives are made up entirely of our memories, and as I always say, when you're old and gray and you've lived your life and you have you grand children sitting around you, would you rather tell them about all of the nights you stayed in doing nothing, or the times you went out with your friends  and went disco bowling, just because you could?

Take some chances. Trust me, no matter what happens, it will be worth it.

Love,

Caro
